More like you got banned from an already quarantined sub, not from reddit itself. You know that mods of a specific subreddit ban you from their subreddits and not the reddit admins?

Well, I'm not surprised.

I also noticed that you can enter the password slightly different and still log in to your account, so I suspected that the the passwords security wasn't their primary objective.
