Watching this made me feel so bad for Bret Weinstein.
I remember reading his name from time to time while scrolling through "IDW"-twitter, but this is the first time I'm hearing the details and wow, these students are so shitty.
This is an American version of the Maoist practice known as the Struggle Session: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Struggle_session
The proper response would be for white people to go somewhere and do a seminar on organic farming, or something, that black people were welcomed to attend, while the black people talked until they got bored about social justice back at the college.
What an utterly bourgeois, liberal shitshow.
Yes lowly female
The basic mistake Brett made was assuming that a mob can be reasoned with.
One person can reason with one or two people, a mob just wants to do what a mob was formed to do. That's usually to destroy/loot/harm. Backing down, if you are in a mob, risks other mobbers turning on you. It also means having to admit you were mistaken, and humans hate doing that, particularly if they feel outrage.
Mob mentality and the sort of illogical thinking that got the mob there are alien to nice educated middle class people like Brett.
The second you see a mob heading your way get in a car and drive off. Unless you have a mob of your own to protect you. A machine gun will also work.
It's too early in the day here to watch horror movies.
