Thanks for the recommendations, the Speyburn sounds particularly interesting, I'll have to keep an eye out for that.

As far as American Whiskeys go, I've recently been enjoying 12 yr George Dickel Bottled in Bond, for the $40 price range I think it is quite good. It is a corn based Tennessee whiskey that uses charcoal maple filtering.

Haven't tried George Dickel yet, at that price it's definitely worth the try!
