RTWT but note this especially:

...it’s important to remember that every new wave of the study, significant numbers of kids are dropping out — and overall the vast majority of the dropouts are on the “no GAM” side. If the dropouts had fairly good mental health, that could give the false appearance of the group “worsening” on average, even if individual members of the group aren’t actually worsening.

...which makes a big difference, when the claim of "improvement" is essentially "kids on hormones didn't get worse but the non-treatment kids got a lot worse"
