The biggest problem with changing that truth is that millions of people's livelihood depends on the very machine that is crushing them.

That's a good point, and if you think about it there's almost no other way it could grow to such a size than by using this strategy.

I get a certain arid satisfaction from this...at least it's a longer perspective than what to do about the current year.
