Too bad Stallman is such a weirdo and an asshole. The "FOSS Movement" would be better without him. Personally, I'm of the opinion that truely free software is something licensed under MIT and such, which grants freedom to not re-license with or without changes.
What we have now isn't a lack of free nor open source software, the problem is that we're drowning in an unlimited supply of low quality software. It's really hard to find the good stuff (if any even exists and is still maintained) whether it's open source or not, free or not.
