I use plenty of languages that I dislike... and no doubt most Java programmers aren't using it by choice. It's important to know how different languages stack up against each other. Java has a reputation for being over engineered.
I mostly use PHP and Python and Javascript. C# is imo the Java re-do that we all needed.
Not to mention Oracle. Ugh.
