This trial is such a big mistake.

Pure hubris, and we all know where that leads.

It's one of the most important trials in US history. Politicians should be held accountable. Criminals should be prosecuted. Traitors to the US should be prosecuted. Trump has been corrupting a large minority in the US who want to believe that what he's done is OK, that treason, theft, grift, incitements to violence, using a US Presidential office for personal and family financial benefit in the billions, 80,000 lies over the span of several years, trying to destroy democracy, trying to destroy government agencies for education and the environment, etc, etc, etc, is all OK, not to mention the extensive corruption of his own. Political corruption is the end of a democracy and the middle class, as we see in India, China, Russia &c. (Sunak is also incredibly corrupt.) /u/AXXA you've lost your fucking mind.

Yes, they are that stupid. They’re so stupid, that when they indict Trump, he gains popularity. So what does stupid do? Indict Trump again and again with the same result.

Awesome stupidity.

You have the same problem.

You think you are in a position of absolute power and righteousness, so can dictate what is right and wrong.

This is the hubris.

You aren't actually in that position and neither is the current government or the rest of the establishment.

Imagine for a second if you are proved wrong in this trial or ar the supreme court and the public decided that it is in fact you and everyone who supported this who is trying to destroy democracy (which would be very reasonable). What do you think will happen?

You have the same problem.

That's obviously a false comparison.

You think you are in a position of absolute power and righteousness, so can dictate what is right and wrong.

Absolutely not a description of someone merely making a counter-argument on Saidit. I'm surprised you're making these ridiculous comments.

This is the hubris.

Again - this is ridiculous - do dismiss 78 felony charges (the most recent of which are quite serious) to absurd, simplistic notions that Trump somehow should be allowed to commit those serious felonies.

You aren't actually in that position and neither is the current government or the rest of the establishment.

Again - I've merely contributed a counter argument. You do it all the time and no one is telling you that 'you think you are in a position of absolute power'. Jesus.

Imagine for a second if you are proved wrong in this trial or ar the supreme court and the public decided that it is in fact you and everyone who supported this who is trying to destroy democracy (which would be very reasonable). What do you think will happen?

Nothing would happen. Not sure what your point is here. My argument is that the trial is extremely important because ANYONE who commits serious felonies should be charged and in this case a US president is potentially guilty of most if not all 78 felony charges. This is UNRELATED to me.

Secondly: does Saidit like corrupt politicians? I think one thing we can all agree is: no. When they commit serious. felonies they should be charged. If they're proven innocent - if you want to argue that Trump is innocent of the 78 charges - this would be very informative.

If you want to argue that this trial is "pure hubris", make an argument about those 78 charges, rather than continue with baseless accusations and attacks.

whole dem party could end with the crimes they have perpetrated

so many cooperated in the coverup
