I feel like my dog died. My dog named DNC. I am more disgusted by the idea of voting Republican than I thought I'd be.

It's like Hongkongphooey said, voting straight Republican is a repudiation of the direction the DNC has taken. Voting Democrat will not send the message, and voting for a third party can have the unintended effect of getting a Democrat elected anyways and obviously that will not send a message either.
