Thanks for the ping on masters. I've been trying to keep an eye on him. I really don't care much about social security and I'm not sure why he does either (maybe just pandering because he thinks he has the young people vote already??).

As far as SS is concerned, my take: privatizing it will just be a big handout to already wealthy friends of politicians and then the private sector will fuck it up. Corporate conservatives do this shit all they time. It's the only form of liberatrianism they like. Ring me back when libertarian/capitalist conservatives want to get rid of the civil rights act and restore a businesses right to refuse service to non whites. SS was one of many attacks on whites snuck in as a 'benefit' when people were distracted (1935). SS has dropped white birth rates. The original 'social security' was being nice to your kids, encouraging them to have kids, helping them get on the property ladder, then being nice to your grand kids and hoping they all take care of you in old age. It was a natural encouragement of reciprocity across generations. Instead government Social security helped turn baby boomers into more selfish versions of themselves. Which is saying something.
