This is part of the thing people don't realize. The "progressive" left almost always wins over time. The world is consistently getting more progressive every day. The right mostly just wants these changes to slow down and be done right.

There is a major noticeable exception though, recently. The modern right is actually more liberal than the modern left, which has replaced liberalism with Marxism. They call it different things, critical theory (both original and extra racey), intersectionality, wokeness, social justice. These are all patterned directly after Marxist ideals of separating people into two categories, oppressors and the oppressed. Then they try to unify all "oppressed" into a revolution against the perceived oppressors. They use the same tools to make any criticism, even from within seem oppressive itself. They censor speech and thought to achieve these goals.

But yeah that was all off topic. This is all a strategy. The end result will be better protected abortion rights, and better vilification of the right.

Both sides are playing it really stupid though, the pro-choice left is busy alienating the "ok in some cases" majority.

And the pro-life right is playing right into the original trap of letting themselves get painted as the bad guys.
