On Jan. 6, an angry mob ransacked the Capitol, largely to try to get Congress and me, as the president of the Senate, to use federal authority to overturn results of the presidential election that had been certified by all 50 states.

Is Pence running for the 2024 DNC primary or something? He's become such an embarrassment. No, they wanted you to do your job and acknowledge that the results were, at best, questionable, and at worse, illegitimate. Several states had contested election results, which gives Congress authority either disregard those counts, or at least investigate them. Whereas all he did was rubber stamp election results that he likely knew were suspicious.

There was no evidence that the 2016 election results were illegitimate, but Republicans still bent over backwards to prove to Democrats that they'd won fair and square. Yet now Republicans can't stop calling their own voters traitors for not blindly ignoring so many reports of "voting irregularities".

How many op-eds has Pence written in lefty-run news outlets about how much he's upset by leftist protesters ransacking large US cities, fire bombing federal courthouses, and assaulting and murdering people? I'm honestly asking. I don't follow every op-ed or Pence's full history, so he might have written something, but I'm guessing it's probably zero.

Yeah, thanks for trying to "call out both sides". You fucking idiot. No Democrat is going to care that Pence thinks removing the filibuster is a good idea. But they sure as hell will use this op-ed as propaganda to push their, "Even Pence thinks Jan 6 is the new 9/11" narrative.
