The UTSA got woke and banned the "Come and Take It" slogan, calling it "racist" — which is total bullshit. They never explain why, and it's obvious they're using it as a bullshit excuse to be woke and anti-gun.
The battle of Gonzales only happened because the Mexican government tried to take away the city's canon and they wanted to keep it for protection; I don't know where the phrase came from, but apparently someone told the government to "come and take it" as in to say "kill me, if you want it."
In contemporary times, it's used to show support for the Second Amendment, disapproval for unconstitutional gun control measures, and a willingness to fight for our right to keep and bear arms.
Nothing about saying "Come and Take It" is racist — nothing! This is woke, anti-gun bullshit.
