I wonder if they were just cut off from their support base. The Jan 6th people are the bootlicker crowd. They'd have been the bad guys wherever they went.

Or maybe they killed themselves because the Congressional attention shed light on abuses that are otherwise ignored, even serious crimes.

I imagine they are getting all sorts of crackpots calling them and their families up as well.
