Renting an apartment from someone or a business is not a civil right, voting is. That's why an ID is not required when it comes time to vote. If Republican politicians in Texas want to enact voter ID laws. How about politicians discover examples of mass fraudulent votes being cast and use that for justification of trying to create new voter ID laws? They don't do so because they have no examples of mass voter fraud that took place. Texas Republicans just want to make it harder for Blacks and the poor to vote because it's against the law to institute a poll tax.
