Per capita, black Americans are:

Five times more likely to be arrested

Three times more likely to be killed

More likely to have physical force used against them in a incident.

Look at all these things together, and you realise they are less likely to be killed per arrest. Which then makes sense of the more likely to be manhandled, because the police are wrassling them instead of shooting them.

If you have a look at hospitalisations for drug OD, black Americans are about 3x as likely to be admitted as white (all drugs), and 8x as likely for a coke OD. There's an official document looking at total national hospitalisations on the web and this data is on it. So the claim they use drugs at the same rates are dubious.

When it comes to excess drug arrests, it turns out the difference is nearly all down to neighbors reporting them.

Black American arrest rates match reported crime rates (official and victim surveys).

Which means offending rate is about five times higher, which probably goes past of the way to explaining the greater number of minor traffic stops, as criminals are less likely to obey traffic laws as well.

About the only ? fact was the greater arrests in daytime. I'll have to check that.

These are the same stats that are given by those who say blacks are disproportionately detained and arrested by police. What is left off is that black people tend to commit many offences including resisting arrest more often than other races. This is the simple reason for these statics.

There's a reason the woke aren't saying "black Americans are more likely to be shot per arrest".

Because they aren't.

I agree with the dude, it's not just black people cops are targeting and it makes me upset these movements are exclusionary, but on the other hand reform for black people will mean reform for everyone probably so why not let them do all the work.
