"Private companies can do what they want" - I completely agree but how private is Amazon when they get $3.7 billion in tax payer funded subsidies?

This made me think, why aren't subsidies buying shares for people? Sure we bail you, but we should own the equivalent in decision making power, and stocks evenly distributed for when companies start making profit.

Crazy really, it's like we're living the worst part of both worlds, communism and capitalism lol.

subnote: communism would be much worse, but even the capitalist part of the system seems to be shit right now.
