"Equality" is a civic religion which occurs nowhere in nature. It requires a Capital-C civilization to:
1. Provide enough safety, comfort and leisure to imagine it, instead of grubbing for food and fighting off rapists and looters.
2. Maintain a political process that can implement it.
3. Amass the power to enforce it.

Those in the 'tear-it-down' mode, should they become "successful", will find anything but "equality".
