True, but how does neoliberal foreign policy differ from neoconservative foreign policy?

The neoconservative movement didn't really have an interventionist foreign policy (except for trotskyism: hence world revolution) until they switched over to the republican side because they thought the left became too anti-Israel during the counter-revolution days.

I would say George Herbert Walker Bush seniors intervention policies were more akin with neoliberalist ideals and Iraq was more akin to neoconservative Ideals. Or, even better: Iraq was largely a neocon endeavor, and Afghanistan a neoliberal policy.

The neocons like Kristol thought Afghanistan was a worthless idea. Many neocons even wrote books about the terrible woes of meddling in Afghanistan whereas, on the other hand, these same neocons sounded the trumpet for war with Iraq.
