I was browsing /all and I saw a thread saying "we need more curating/censorship!" and then 2 posts down a different post saying "We need to resist the censorship here!"

I feel in a way I've struck the right balance when both sides are equally perturbed, one not more than the other. Because this is ultimately a balancing act between two mutually-exclusive desires, and it's thus impossible to please everyone, even in theory.

I think this site is on the right track and you seem to understand how to maintain the right balance between supporting free speech and maintaining a site of content vs. outright hate.
