Gender reassignment is to gender dysphoria what lobotomy used to be for a bunch of mental disorders.

Thank god for this. I hope they're ready for the lawfare that is to come.

beethy 6 insightful - 1 fun6 insightful - 0 fun7 insightful - 1 fun 3 years ago

This is so fucking based. The UK already passed a similar law. Every other country should follow.

wristaction 6 insightful - 1 fun6 insightful - 0 fun7 insightful - 1 fun 3 years ago

Right, didn't the UK have a case (one of what we might expect to be a coming tsunami of such cases) where a woman is suing the doctors who mutilated her chest because she was too young to know what she was asking for?

In ten to fifteen years, a generation of horribly messed up children of Munchausen Syndrome by Proxy parents are going to look back at this time of collective madness and ask why more adults didn't speak up against this.

ReeferMadness 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun 3 years ago

I hope they realize that most adults are speaking out against this but the (((media))) controls what is heard.

Nemacolin 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun 3 years ago

Yeah, the Republicans like to tell doctors how to practice medicine, people how to live their lives.

Drewski[S] 31 insightful - 2 fun31 insightful - 1 fun32 insightful - 2 fun 3 years ago

This isn't 'practicing medicine', it's irrevocably damaging confused children and is straight up child abuse.

Nemacolin 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun 3 years ago

I suppose these are very tough calls that cannot follow fixed rules. Remember, no straight thing can be made of the twisted timber of mankind.

Children are not developmentally able to understand the consequences of serious medical decisions. Puberty blockers cause a host of medical problems (e.g. osteoporosis). 80% of trans-identified adolescents will eventually desist if left alone (not put on the trans bus). Over 60% are children who will later identify as LGB. Transing of adolescnets represents an erasure of lesbians and gay men.

That's another one of my problems with allowing kids to medically transition: it impairs their ability to know if they're trans or just going through a phase.

LesbianOutlaw 1 insightful - 3 fun1 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 3 fun 3 years ago

That’s the whole point of puberty blockers. No one is giving them cross-sex hormones right away.

wristaction 20 insightful - 7 fun20 insightful - 6 fun21 insightful - 7 fun 3 years ago

Puberty is not a disease.

And you're not a lesbian.

jet199 10 insightful - 1 fun10 insightful - 0 fun11 insightful - 1 fun 3 years ago

Puberty blockers stop the mind developing so they can't ever work out who they are.

They basically trap people in an adolescent mind as well as body.

It's not just the obvious things which change during puberty, your way of thinking does too.

This is why puberty blockers give a drop in IQ of up to 10 points.

hfxB0oyA 8 insightful - 1 fun8 insightful - 0 fun9 insightful - 1 fun 3 years ago

Puberty blockers stop your body from developing at a critical window. It's not like it hits the pause button and then you can go back to it later. You've got to use those hormones your body's making or lose them forever.

FediNetizen 5 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 0 fun6 insightful - 1 fun 3 years ago

Lupron hurts kids just like testosterone and estrogen do. And the evidence that for most kids it was doing so for nothing has been there all along. Surprise surprise, the same drug that we were using to chemically castrate sex offenders, and that was also already shown to cause muscoskeletal issues when given to kids to block precocious puberty, is also turning out to cause the same problems when it's given to kids to block regular puberty.

The only reason western society is going through this phase right now is because wealthy/influential autogynephilic men, with the support of the alphabet lobby that needs a new justification for their existence since Obergefell, are now pushing the "trans children" narrative to obfuscate the fetishistic roots of their motivation to "transition".

Bruce Jenner famously got caught by one of his teen daughters trying on her clothes before he was "out". When she told the family about it, he told the family he was a liar. Now he's out telling people that there is no meaningful difference between male and female athletes, and also pushing the trans child narrative.

The "trans child" narrative has always been a farce. And now, it is being exposed as such.

The whole point of puberty blockers is to stunt their growth.

Btw, are you trans too?

LesbianOutlaw 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun 3 years ago

Children are not developmentally able to understand the consequences of serious medical decisions.

And teenagers are not children.

It's hilarious that shitlibs are still trying to pull off this matanarrative while they're stalking people in supermarkets and assaulting them for not wearing masks.

Yes, those meddling Republicans, preventing you from mutilating children.

Feldheld 9 insightful - 1 fun9 insightful - 0 fun10 insightful - 1 fun 3 years ago

When doctors violate their oath "first, do no harm" that is precisely what any decent human being should do.

LesbianOutlaw 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun 3 years ago

Meanwhile when banning circumcision is brought up you hear crickets from these same bigots who claim they’re all about protecting children when they shit on trans people.

wristaction 10 insightful - 4 fun10 insightful - 3 fun11 insightful - 4 fun 3 years ago

The fuck you're talking about? I don't know anyone who is anti-one who isn't anti-the other.

Feldheld 8 insightful - 1 fun8 insightful - 0 fun9 insightful - 1 fun 3 years ago

Keeping confused people from harming themselves irrepairably is the opposite of "shitting" on them. You are the one shitting on them just to feel morally superior in your sick circlejerk bubble of hate junkies.

Trajan 4 insightful - 3 fun4 insightful - 2 fun5 insightful - 3 fun 3 years ago

I’m against transing children, medically unnecessary circumcision, and many other things that belong more in a biography of Josef Mengle than in modern medicine.

Comatoast 3 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 2 fun 3 years ago

That's a lie. Americans are absolutely brainwashed on this though, because it's been touted as being beneficial and "cleaner" to have male children circumcised by the medical establishment here, or at least used to be. This is a subject that gets confused looks from even the men here that aren't educated on exactly what foreskin is and why it shouldn't be removed. I've even had a guy bring up his friend's constant yeast infections passed back and forth between their girlfriend. Something that could be easily resolved by wearing a fucking condom and keeping antifungal medication all over the tissue, and the gf actually keeping hers treated with diflucan/topical meds. I also explained how if having foreskin wasn't clean, then it would be common practice in Europe to remove it-- but it's not. It's beneficial in sex, for women too, helping to actually keep lubrication in there.

Sadly, a lot of adults here in the states just think that it's normal. You have to find openings that aren't awkward and come to them with factual information, informing that it's an unnecessary and outdated religious practice. There's also the underlying problem that medical doctors end up treating foreskin tightening with steroid creams. Steroid-based creams actually thin tissue and leave it susceptible to tearing, and provide temporary relief at best-- but it's still pushed. Then you have someone damn near begging for circumcision just to relieve them of the issue.

Threatening suicide to get your way is a well-known tactic of abusers. Threatening suicide is a sign of mental instability. Someone who is mentally unstable is not in a fit state to make long-term, consequential medical decisions.

ReeferMadness 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun 3 years ago

Psychologists are not real doctors. The entire field has been taken over and corrupted by pedophiles. There is absolutely no justification for the propaganda they are pushing on preteens. They confuse them, groom them, then destroy their bodies and lives.

Nemacolin 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun 3 years ago

Don't Democrats fine/ban doctors who refuse to do abortions and transitions?

Nemacolin 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun 3 years ago

No. Not to my knowledge. You got a cite?

[deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun 3 years ago

Transition, sterilization, abortion. Google has many articles about doctors refusing to participate in this.

Are you trying to pull socks and claim that whatever site I choose is "fake news"?

LesbianOutlaw 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun 3 years ago

Well that’s disgusting. It’s none of the government’s business what someone does with their body. Meanwhile these same conservative shitstains would never vote for a bill that outlawed circumcision on minors. It’s clearly not about “protecting the children!!1”

America should just have let those mothers take thalidomide, right?
