hate atomic explosion footage because you have no idea of the scale....case in point: one of these explosions is 3 kilotons, which is about the scale of the Beirut munitions and fertilizer explosion from a few years back. I think it's actually closer to 1-2 k estimated yield, but that fucking thing looks huge because it's in the context of all those buildings and ships and the harbor and everything. This 3 kiloton explosion looks tiny, because the camera is so far off and flat with nothing to compare it to but the desert floor, but in reality it's a fucking huge explosion too!
