God doesn't command anything.

if God did, you would have no choice, if it was truly God

whatever makes these commandments is not God, God needs nothing and if God had desires they would already be filled as soon as they arose

I do not completely disagree with you. God gave men the 10 commandments, but he said: Thou shalt do this or not do that.... He did not say Thou must do this. They are still the commandments, which if a man will obey, he will live, but each man can choose to obey or not. The commandments are to give man life, but like you said, God does not need man to do anything for him, but he wants man to choose life.

Jesus gave a commandment, while still allowing you free will: Love one another. Most people do not obey him. Instead, people obey the maser of this world, who teaches them to hate one another. People are fully able to choose which master they will serve, but each master has his commandments he expects his people to follow.
