Discomforting to read but I wholeheartedly agree. I didn't really think much of it until I started with Vinland Saga. Slave girls from other tribes, other clans. A common feature for vikings.

What I am most interested in is a semi-historically accurate depiction of the Islamic Golden Age. Where one can indeed have slaves of white women. That'd be a blast to see, also the reactions from both the woke and the anti-woke would just be worth it. Hehehe.

Back to topic, the fact that the West found something wrong with slavery and decided to abolish it is a lesson and a fact that is not present in most of the media. It needs to have at least a discussion about it. Time will tell of course.

He's right. That's historically factual.
It's not really courageous to point out the faults of others.

Moral stances are only useful if they criticize your own internal actions, or those who are in critical areas of the trade.

Let's see if he discusses who the major slave trader merchants were, and who financed the industry.
