I've been playing the SpSk Fedhas start to verify it. It's alright, but I was still concerned about early Orc Priest packs. When combined with poor item luck resulting in weak offense, SpSk Fedhas can have a difficult time. Fedhas does little to mitigate that, at least initially.
I kept considering the strength of the Sp Kiku start. -1 Necro apt is a minor penalty relative to the synergy of a fast Necromancer. Corpse Rot particularly benefits.
Idly, I decided to check Kiku's wrath severity for Spriggan. I was sure nothing would come of it. No way could I add yet another wrath to an already extreme 5-god sequence. BUT... then I discovered an absurd synergy:
Kiku's wrath is actually BENEFICIAL for SpSk Fedhas!
- Kiku's wrath generates real zombies. Fedhas' Fungal Bloom converts them into skeletons, generating piety!
- Skeletons are easy XP for Spriggan
- Miasma clouds benefit the fast Spriggan, who dances between them.
- Torment is less severe for -30% mHP Spriggan, whose defenses are mostly in EV and Stealth
- Sp Fedhas doesn't mind Kiku's Necromancy spell 5% punishment, since most Necro spells are blocked anyway
So the updated god-branch progression is
- Kiku: Dungeon, Lair, Orc
- Fedhas: Water, Poison, Elf
- Jiyva: item harvest, Slime, Vaults, Depths, Vestibule
- Zin: donate and wait, Hell:1 wrath, Slime, Abyss, Depths, Zot
- TSO: Crypt, Tomb, Tartarus
- Gozag: acquire penalty gold, Extended and Zigs
Early Kiku guarantees Necromut for Gozag Extended.
Kiku's two spellbook gifts allow Sp to train Spellcasting to primary, reducing hunger cost and conserving rations, while increasing MP regen.
there doesn't seem to be anything here
