What drug have you seen that has caused the most damage to an idividual or family?

I am going with alcohol. It is legal to buy if you are of age, and depending on the person it can result in some bad violence.

Agreed. When I was younger, it was the only reason I have ever went to jail. Nothing serious, just had to go to the drunk tank to sober up for the night multiple times. I quit drinking for a couple of years. On the rare occasions I do drink these days, I have no desire to get drunk, I stop after I get a buzz after one or two.

I would have to agree with this. One main reason is it's wide spread appeal.

I told my wife that the drugs we should make a point of staying away from are the legal ones that the government says is ok.

Still hit the sauce every now and then, which I kinda hate but that's addiction for you. We did quit smoking cigarettes though. Hopefully to never go back to that nasty shit.

I only drink beer and will not stockpile it in the house. I could drink a 12 pack in a night. No liquor. And I still smoke cig's. I think they are just as bad as alcohol, maybe worse. The govt loves the taxes they get from both.

One of the only times I buy alcohol now is when I want to enjoy some good quality craft beer after a hard week of work, I only buy the good stuff, a 4 pack of top shelf craft beer for 15-20$. They clock in at anything from 10-15% abv so it only takes one to have me feeling good lol.

I also like the 4 packs of the finer stuff. Usually get "you paid how much for 4 beers?" Once the abv is compared to normal beers and after they drink one, there is an understanding.
Now I want some Chimay Blue.

Any substance that's abused qualifies. People have wrecked their lives and affected others through the use of a gamut of substances.

Luckily, never dealt with pcp or people on it. But you are right, on paper it is scary. Meth is a bitch. Thankfully i was never its bitch.
