    LoL that's not what I'm saying. Any specific incident, without proof, is just going to be a conspiracy theory. I just mean that we shouldn't assume the any source of information is not corrupted or is uncorruptible. That's just being way too generous with the quality of human nature.

      100%. And funny because I made the exact same type of comment here earlier today but on the topic of patents. I hate how aggressive our patent laws are because they stifle innovation, but we still need them on some level to encourage innovation because of the potential for money as an incentive. Greed is inevitable, so our laws have to manage that to the benefit of humanity.
