Fragrant and warming, a dose of mint mayonnaise made this as fulfilling as a Sunday roast, complimented by sliced red onion and a creamy orange cheese. An elegant burger, but only for special occasions due to being so rich and powerfully flavoured.

Five Guys 4/5 🍔

Filthy, greasy, smothered in fried onions and all the condiments you can ask for. It's the most nostalgic feeling of the bunch and was a real beauty to eat. It brings a tear to the eye.

Zebra 2.5/5 🦓

This was the one that I really got my hopes up for, to eat what the lion eats. I'm not going to lie, it didn't quite live up to expectations. A lean but very light meat made this more a lunchtime snack burger than a meaty meal.

Kangaroo 4.5/5 🦘

The barbeque Roo burger was something special, well up there in my favourite so far! As good as any beef burger, and made even better with the home made apple and carrot slaw. I'm definitely going back for more!

Chicken 3.5/5 🐔

I know this is a bit controversial for those in the US, but for many in Europe, Australia and beyond, a chicken burger is still a burger. Can't beat it, it's crunchy, it's meaty, and it packs a punch of yummy goodness! A decent midweek snack for any occasion!

Ostrich 3.5/5 🐦

This used to be an old favourite of mine, it has the colour and texture of beef but with a gamey hint of goose flavour. A lovely treat!

After traveling to Barbados earlier this year, I couldn't help but try my own take of their famous flying fish cutter. Of course it wasn't nearly as good as an authentic Bajan cutter, but it was a welcome treat!

Venison 4/5 🦌

On par with beef, no comparison at all. A heavy, dark meat with a rich flavour makes for a filling meal. Reminds me of many pub burgers with home made patties.

Horse 3.5/5 🐴

Not bad. It's closer to venison than zebra, a redder meat and not as lean. Really nice flavour, just a bit more game, you can really tell this was a grass fed animal. The fried egg was a nice touch too!
