Why does everything always have to be in such absolutes and outrage these days?

Does the hypocrisy bother me? You are damned right it does!

But at the same time Russia really must be stopped for global interests. I don't think that burden should fall on the U.S. as much as it has though. We have China to worry about who recently surpassed our navy in size.

China and North Korea are both waiting on baited breath for the US to make a mistake by over extending or by making a play like this that can be sold as a war crime. They want that justification.

Also I definitely support Ukraine and Zelensky on the whole, but that doesn't mean everything they do is good or in our best interests. Zelensky is playing a game of best interest for his political party in Ukraine. His priority isn't on global stability we are not really on "the same side" we are just unified against a common threat. His tactics are often to escalate to try to bait the U.S. and NATO into helping him. He is often further antagonizing Putin even when for the sake of the world he really shouldn't be. This is the smart and right play for him, but it would be a bad case scenario for us.

It's possible to support part of a thing or certain aspects of a thing without supporting the whole thing. It's also possible to broadly support something, while having issues with certain aspects.

I feel like the entire world basically regressed to teenager brain over the past two decades.
