This is why a lot of ex-democrats like myself voted for Trump. I wasn’t going to vote for a corporatist or a millionaire socialist. Then Trump came along, and said some things that I supported. As well as many other things that I was never allowed to say I supported, like stopping illegal immigration. I voted for democrats for 15 years. Even though they shamed me for voting for Ralph Nader in 2001. Now I’m an “extremist MAGA terrorist fascist”. Democrats will NEVER get another vote from me. They can count on that.

This 1000%. I voted Democrat and was involved with Occupy Chicago from day 1. I would have considered myself not just left in 2011, but far left. By the time 2016 rolled around, I was so disgusted with the DNC I voted for Trump. I will never vote Democrat again. I oppose mass immigration for the reason the working class left and Sanders himself opposed it: Wages have stagnated for four straight decades, but because the corporate Democrats didn't want to talk about their anti labor trade policy, they instead pretended that opposition to immigration was about race and xenophobia. They're still trying to do that. It's pathetic. You couldn't put a gun to my head and get me to vote for those people at this point.
