According to an announcement from the Centers for Disease Control last week, biological men can and should be encouraged to ‘chestfeed’ infants and babies
What fucking insanity. Jesus. The CDC thinks it's okay for men to take hormones to enable milk production. AND IT'S OKAY TO PASS ON THESE HORMONES TO THE BABIES.
Is this for real???
What is real is that a biological male cannot produce the essential nutrients a baby needs in the breast milk from their hormone therapy. Anyone who does this is hindering a child's physical development.
More culture war thrown our way to distract us.
"Smile and pretend you support this, bitches, or face the wrath of hundreds of muscly head cases in dresses."
Trump is a tranny? I thought it was Rudy Giuliani 😺
Trump is secretly Asian??
Huh, looks like Trump sold it before running, I didn't know that
Are 'bonus holes' what wealthy fucks call their paid 'mistresses' after a day of pretend golfing?
Or what Biden calls his grandkids' playdates when they come around at the house.
No, it shows that men are better at everything, including being women.
If you think about it, that's the actual message they are sending everyone, whether that was intentional or not.
Well, they have no one to blame but themselves for this. If they want to be America's handmaiden and export their Neo Liberal ideology all over the world, they get to reap its consequences.
I was just reading a piece from Paul Craig Roberts about why the US military can't meet its recruitment goals and it boils down to hetero white men who have been the traditional backbone of the military being told that they're privileged, racist, sexist, transphobic, etc., that they won't get promoted because there's too many white officers already - I remember reading that idiotic statement from some Pentagon official not long ago. Gosh, wonder why they aren't queuing up in droves!! SMH.
they won't get promoted because there's too many white officers already
That's not how that works in the military. As a percentage, there are exactly the same % of promotions as to each racial group. Also, you test up, and the promotions are handed out proportionally. Grated, some groups require a higher test score to get promoted.
That's reportedly not what they're being told.
BTW, there is almost no difference among the races with kids raised on base. Why? They all get the same education. If we actually had a homogenized education system quotas would not be necessary.
The funny thing is, even if they were all those things, who fucking cares? Is the glasses-and-scarf wearing, beer snob, closet nazi middling professional white liberal signing up? No he is not.
Oh, incidental asterisk: Southern, Christian, heterosexual white men. They also get the privilege of dying in combat in very disproportionate numbers. Yeah, it's a mystery all right.
You're gonna love our incoming JCS chairman.
<laughs in Russian and Chinese>
This is the hot button issue of the present and you will get shouted down by hyperventilating lunatics if you say gender dysphoria is a mental illness. Well that's a clinical diagnosis that doctors use to describe one's mindset. Probably not fair to paint with a broad brush, but it's fair to ask how many people who have made the choice to transition are on x numbers of medications for a different mental illness that may have possibly spawned this one? Every pharma advert I see has a long list of side effects in the disclaimer, both physical and mental. And let's also not forget that every person that under goes a gender transition is worth over 1M to Big Pharma. As always follow the money. Maybe step one should be to sort out the gender dysphoria thing first before dumping truckloads of drugs on them that could potentially impact one's quality of life. Academia and the media are also culprits in this as well. The media is there as always to make things divisive. Academia is cooking up new terms they shat out in creative writing class to gaslight you into compliance. All that being said, I do not begrudge an adult for pursuing this life changing path because punching down against regular folks is not the way. This is directed at the rich and powerful for taking advantage of people who may not have their life too well put together and foisting a solution upon them that may not be necessary.
One last thought - we don't hear much about people who decide to de-transition.
I think the way the gender ideology is being pushed, makes it appeal particularly to young girls. They are basically being told that they have an easy way out of dealing with the challenges that come with growing up as a girl. As they are not old enough to understand the ramifications of the decision, it seems an appealing offer. They of course also have it sold to them as if they will be 100% fully functional men by the end of the process, which is completely false.
And that's why parents should keep their kids far away from Tik Tok.
Not a de-transition story, but one about the confusion associated with FtM transitioning, and some personal realizations that came after the fact.
As always follow the money.
This. It's becoming a billion dollar business and not just for pharma.
I do not begrudge an adult for pursuing this life changing path
Nor do I but I do reserve the right to say fck that when any group insists that their rights trump yours, which is what we're seeing. As in most cases, it's mainly a few loudmouths but like you pointed out, their voices are amplified and that mindset is imposed by the corporate, academic and media institutions. They don't care that it divides people around these issues instead of unifying and will only stop when their bottom line seriously suffers.
The media always finds the most obnoxious loudmouth ignoramus to platform and that gives people who are unfamiliar the idea that the attitude on display represents the whole group. And this whole exercise of carving out a whole set of special rules for this new identity politics orange they are currently squeezing the juice out of should be met with fierce resistance as it will open the door to more trampling of the rights we still have left.
Agree.
Tim Pool once had Helena Kerschner on.
Well, before passing judgement I would like to see what the other contestants looked like :-)
Beautiful woman, but she doesn't look Dutch to me...
Wait a minute... they're all trans?
I'm afraid my vision of Dutch beauty was formed by Walter McEwan's wonderful 1886 painting The Judgement of Paris, an excellent parody of the classic excuse to paint nude women. In McEwan's parody, the three goddesses are fully-clothed demure Dutch farm women. Paris is an ordinary Dutch peasant with wooden shoes and a clay pipe. He is holding the Apple of Discord.
I saw this delightful painting in person. The photo does not do it justice. The intense look on Paris' face is awesome.
No.. dutch women are just not attractive. They all start smoking at 14, they have intimacy problems, and act like men. Maybe it's different in the countryside, never found out
... Ain't fucking around in that area of the world any time soon.
Thank the GODS I was in Asia...
“bonus holes”
Degree from the Larry Flynt school of medical science.
Even more, in just the past week: Healthcare professionals are now urged to use the terms “front holes” or “bonus holes” instead of “vaginas”.
Oh well, if it's TheScience™️ saying to do it, there must be a reason that should not be questioned.
Though it does sound like something that a new arrival in middle school would come up with.
I once read of a gynecologist who was embarrassed to use the scientific terms and instead spoke of the "front passage" and "back passage" 😺
I'd rather follow Jimmy Carr's example and call it conception bay south.
The author, like many (most?) women, is part of the problem. Look at the captions:
This is not to disparage Kollé herself. She changed her name at age 11, from Rik to Rikkie, and said she suffered constant bullying, often coming home from school in tears.
Kollé is clearly sincere. To argue against her win isn't to argue against her — it's to raise the very real concern about the eradication of competitions and spaces meant for biological women.
It screams, "please don't cancel me just because I don't agree with men winning beauty pageants!!" and was completely unnecessary because she said nothing bad about the winner personally. But I suppose it is a realistic assessment of the times we live in, cancel culture is an effective poison in the body politic. And it's turning people like me against causes we might otherwise have supported because as usual they turn all fascist toward anyone that doesn't toe the line - and I know that's an overused term and probably inaccurate but it seems apt to me.
But you can't fight an ideology if you refuse to attack its proponents and practitioners. This is why women are the problem: we're both hardwired and socialized to be nice, to avoid conflict.
That's a huge part of why we're in this position in the first place.
hardwired and socialized to be nice, to avoid conflict.
True, but I ditched my socialization classes to hang out with my equally bitchy friends.
This is why women are the problem: we're both hardwired and socialized to be nice, to avoid conflict.
That's a huge part of why we're in this position in the first place.
Well your "That's culture and religion" later point might be the missing part in this, because not being in the US, I can assure you that the vast majority of women I've crossed paths with over here don't fit the mold you're describing there :)
In the case of the US, the broader problem might 'simply' be that the entire population has been bred into obedience, tribalism and stereotypes in order to be easier to control. And this has been the main export of the US all over the western world in recent decades.
???!
Have you ever been in lower class minority circles?
Puerto Ricans, black moms, Irish, etc?
You want to talk about hard in the paint, run up on someone taking care of 3 kids, having 4 jobs, and getting that PTA meeting to realize the middle one needs more math training or something.
I'm sorry, ya'll gotta chuck that defeatist nonsense in the trash. Look up Harriet Tubman, Norma Reyes, or Shirley Dubois if you need historical examples but don't ever sell yourself short because of your gender.
That just means you have to find your strengths and make it work for you.
Mother Jones, before her name was sullied by the rag.
That's culture and religion, not women as a sex. And historical figures are remembered because they're extraordinary, not because they exemplify typical biological responses to stress.
I disagree. Shirley Dubois wasn't given that and usually WEB Dubois is remembered a LOT more. Norma Reyes was a union organizer especially for seamstresses in those times.
The point isn't to think they're extraordinary. The point is to consider that they bleed just like you and you can learn from them just as much as anyone else.
No one should consider their gender a handicap or a boon or anything else and there's something that ALL of us can learn from each other. That's my point.
Hell, Penelope does exceptional work around here in archiving and transcribing while Martini has been great for organizing music and even herding cats when necessary and that doesn't detract from FThumb or any other mod who have their own talents.
I just disagree strongly that "women are hardwired and socialized to be nice or avoid conflict". That's more a trapping of instilled thoughts than something that is a hard shaped reality. It's limiting yourself and your potential.
This isn't an argument. It isn't a matter of rhetoric, believing in yourself, or handicaps or boons.
This is sexual dimorphism and neurological and biochemical reality. No amount of anecdotes or historical exceptions will change that.
edit: y'know, this is so basic I'm surprised anyone even bothered to do a study, but here.
Every psychological experiment and survey ever done backs this up.
You're taking this WAAAY too literally...
Excerpt:
To speak up is, we well know, to be smeared as a TERF – a so-called ‘trans-exclusionary radical feminist’– or a bigot.
It’s just another misogynistic bullying tactic.
Childbirth? Not just for women anymore.
Breastfeeding? How dare we.
Biology? A mere construct, sweethearts.
In case we weren’t aware, it’s not just women who menstruate. The proper term is ‘menstruator’ — per the female founder of a tampon company who talked to an obsequious Gayle King last week about “this age of transphobia” and being “a proudly gender-inclusive brand”.
[granted, I learned about menstruation eons ago as a pre-teen but I'm having a really, really hard time reconciling the biological facts I learned then, i.e., the parts and processes, with this "new normal" we're expected to accept now]
...in just the past week: Healthcare professionals are now urged to use the terms “front holes” or “bonus holes” instead of “vaginas”.
Breastfeeding is now ‘chestfeeding.’
("Absurd" is right).
the terms “front holes” or "bonus holes"...
How crude. I'm going to stick with "temple of Venus" :-)
Aphrodite's Peach
(Yeah, I made that one up...)
The proper term is ‘menstruator’
Don't you mean personstruator? :-)
Uh oh, someone screwed up!!
I'm telling you, this woke garbage is getting harder and harder to tolerate when everyone is tired of this...
I really have to watch what I say in a few places because of the Harry Potter fiasco and now this...
I'm really about to call it all a disease of capitalism and move on with my day towards things that we need to fix instead of people breaking what works...
I hear you. It's a distraction and I usually don't pay much attention to it unless someone gets in my face.

Here's the latest headline from The New York Times:
If those limits on "gender transition procedures" get through, the Army will have to modify its latest recruiting campaign:
:-)
