You probably weren't born yet or very young, but a good deal of people fought very hard against the Iraq and Afghani wars. It's not like nobody didn't see through those flimsy excuses for war.

People wanted revenge for 9/11 though, didn't really matter who.

There was real opposition, we just lost the fight. People are stupid.

It was 'real' only in the sense that the president was a Republican. I was there too. The antiwar movement shrunk from hundreds of thousands to dozens the day after the 2006 election. For most on the left, opposing the war(s) was a partisan oppo operation.
