Yeah, although they don't really tell you what they're for, and it's actually enjoyable for most people. We got a break from class and got to chill with out friends with the lights out. There are lockdowns for a lot of other random things too, like a nearby bank robbery or something like that, so lockdowns usually aren't imminent danger. And at least in the early 2010s when there weren't as many school shootings, it wasn't even something I thought of as being really associated with the lockdown.
