I wonder what prompted her to try and cross the road when the giant vehicle was already there and moving in the first place. She was also too close to the vehicle, making it much harder for her to see.

There are so many people like this at tourist spots around me. You're stopped in traffic, the green light appears and you start accelerating, only for a random pedestrian to appear and attempt to cross the street at the worst possible moment!

I see this a lot, it's always at those couple of second where both the pedestrian and traffic lights are red and neither are technically supposed to go- but there's always some twat that makes a run for it.
