I haven't listened to this yet, because I see people saying this is the worse thing they've ever heard and that it keeps them up at night. I worry that a) its not that bad and it wont live up to the hype, or b) it really is that bad and I'll be afraid to step foot airliners, just thinking about it.

If you want to be afraid of airliners, it's simple: watch every last air disaster video this guy's made. If you're like me, you have substantially underestimated the total number of accidents.

I binged on that stuff about ten years ago, it only faded from my mind enough to fly a few years ago. People who happily fly, who say you're more likely to die in a car accident just don't get it. IMO, fear of flying is a very rational fear.

In car accidents you don't have as much time to be utterly freaking terrified before you die. I've been in a few. It's just "Oh shit!" crash. I'd much rather die that way than in a plane full of people screaming bloody murder as it plummets into the ground.

True, although supposing a plane crash takes a whole sixty seconds, that's a terrible sixty seconds that probably feels like an hour, but it's a very short amount of time in the grand scheme of things.
