Accountant José Horley de Sousa, 36, died after being shot during a robbery last Wednesday (29), in Sacomã (south of the São Paulo capital). The victim received at least four shots, even after handing over the personal belongings to the criminal. Nobody was arrested.

Images from a monitoring camera show the moment when the thief, on a motorcycle, climbs onto the sidewalk and approaches Sousa's car, a Chevrolet Cruze, which was parked. It is possible to see the suspect drawing his revolver and pointing towards the victim, who opens the vehicle door.

According to the video, Sousa removes his watch from his wrist and hands it, along with his wallet, to the thief. The suspect keeps his belongings, shoots at the counter at least four times and runs away at high speed. The action lasted less than 30 seconds.

At all times, the accountant keeps his hands in plain sight and apparently makes no attempt to react.

Military police arrived at the scene shortly after and found Sousa still alive. According to the PMs reported in the police report, the accountant said: “I'm going to die, I'm going to die”. The victim was wounded in the neck and chest. Sousa was rescued and sent to the Heliópolis Hospital, where he died.

According to police, the criminal stole the accountant's watch and wallet. Inside the victim's car, also according to the police report, a bank transaction form was found, which contained the movement of R $ 50 thousand in cash.

Bullying This is the first robbery (robbery with death) registered at the 95th DP (Heliópolis) this year. Last year, only one such crime was also referred to the police station in January, according to data from the SSP (Secretariat of Public Security), João Doria administration (PSDB).

Between January and June of this year, according to the folder, 95 people died victims of robbery in the state of São Paulo. This corresponds to one case every two days, considering the period. In 2019 there were 91 robbery deaths in the state.
