Video from a victim's phone https://mobile.twitter.com/RealSaleemJuma/status/1279392818234966017

Video of the car afterwards https://mobile.twitter.com/stillgray/status/1279373900871155713

Strangely the driver was a black guy, Dawit Kelete. According to a linkedin for the same name and city https://www.linkedin.com/in/dawit-kelete-0b2172102 he was a Door Dash employee. Me thinks he was upset that the freeway closure was getting in the way of food deliveries. At first I thought this was intentional, after watching the video I think he was angry about the closure but not trying to hit human beings, either. He stops up the road, but then takes off when he feels like his life is in danger.

Strangely? What's strange about it?

White people aren't looking to drive their cars into groups of people, despite the shit that some folks talk. White people don't want to stop their cars and place their lives at the whim of a violent mob. Blacks commit violence all the time for no fuggin reason.

If the white protesters were to get their way, he, being a black fellow, might stand to rake in some reparation money, or benefit in other ways.
