Maybe you have limited memory capacity and don’t even realize how many times you have thus far felt compelled to mention how “hurrdurrr did you know they say black people can’t swim?!”

Yeah Red, it’s something they’ve been saying going on about a hundred years now. It’s been heard. That’s why it is considered a stereotype- because it was so popularly spread around. You’re not passing on any new gem of thought.

In all of your recommendations for people to “google black people and swimming!”... have you? Did you read anything? Do you know how they lost the skill of swimming? Slave owners wouldn’t let them learn so they had one less means of escape. Whole extended families have drowned one by one trying to save each other but not knowing how. I don’t know. Maybe you do know that already and still just think it’s like a hilarious treasure to continue sharing with others.

But Red, if I haven’t said it yet- you do have a predilection toward mentioning blacks and swimming in internet conversation a lot.
