Where's the surprise? Cops are animals. If you engage in a car chase with them, they get juiced up with adrenaline, and once they finally catch you, you're liable to get the Rodney King treatment, or shot on the spot.

Well, here's a tip: Dont' engage a goddamned car chase with them.

Not sticking up for this asshole in the video in any way, but don't sit there and lump all cops in with him. If you'd rather not take a chance of getting shot, don't break the fucking law. Incredible.

People love to generalize, many forget that the bad actions of others don't define everyone.

Before rabid angry people pounce on me, I'm well aware there are many asshole cops like the guy in this video. And frankly, that cop should have been in jail on a much higher sentence, but that's the court system for you. Many times it works for the criminal rather than the victim. However, there are a few good cops who are just trying to do their jobs. Too bad news media outlets never report on the good deeds, only the ones of people getting shot.

Obviously, this shooting was in no way justified. However, the drunk driver isn't exactly someone I would call "innocent". Since it's actual innocent people who end up paying for the mistakes of people driving while drunk or distracted.

That's so ridiculous. Besides the double shot that's already been mentioned, everyone who's ever handled a firearm professionally knows you don't put your finger on the trigger unless you intend to shoot. "Accidental discharge" isn't possible.
