Did some things I didn’t think happened. I was really surprised how long she could try to pull herself up. Would have been interesting to see if someone saved her and then her thoughts about that decision. I guess her instant-regret reaction says it all

Yeah, that last ditch attempt to use one hand to reach the rope and probably loosen it was the point she probably couldn't handle the pain or whatever she felt.

I wonder what hanging by the neck feels like. That surely wasn't the instant death kind of hanging where the neck breaks. This one took a long time. Does it feel something like when you wake up from sleep and you somehow can't breathe (sleep apnea?). Or maybe it's similar in MMA where your opponent puts you on a chokehold and you lose consciousness. Hanging seems more painful though.

That def wasn’t instant death, but I do believe you pass out very quickly. People comment how people who commit suicide by heights might regret the decision halfway down, but here you can see she immediately regrets it.

As for how it feels, I read an article where a doctor said it’s likely you feel a tingle sensation. I would expect to feel horror and helplessness. More than likely it would be an extreme chokehold vs sleep apnea, because you’re applying your full body weight to the choke.

That last ditch effort to raise one hand I think is like when you move in your dream. She was likely already out and may have been dreaming she was hanging.
