I know a girl who just started dating another girl for like 3 or 4 weeks. She was at her girls families BBQ over the summer. Family pit bull who barely ever made a sound just jumped up and mauled this girl's face beyond recognition. You should have to live alone with an animal like that. If this can happen with zero indicators, why the fuck would you get one if you have children?
