And just like that nobody buys Liberty Safes anymore.

What were they supposed to do?

Insist on maintaining their clients' privacy unless compelled by a warrant. Basically what the guy in this video did with these ATF agents https://youtu.be/FHhc4byi46w?si=1cIQ3a9sUG7xMpPQ

“Liberty Safe was contacted by the FBI requesting the access code to the safe of an individual for whom they had a warrant to search their property…”

read nigger, read!

They can search the property of the safe's owner all they want. When the warrant isn't for the safe manufacturer, why would they provide a code? I understand the words in the article, did you?

if a warrant is for the premises and contents, the contents include all the contents

And the contents are in the safe... not the combination for the safe at an entirely different location.

tell me you don't understand search warrants but use different words.

Maybe you've been watching too many TV shows. "the warrant must state specifically the place to be searched and the items to be seized" "Police may only search the particular area and seize the specific items called for in the search warrant." source

So, when LEO approaches a safe manufacturer at a different location to ask for a backdoor code to open a safe on a different property, then the safe manufacturer can decline to provide that information.

Have you seen the warrant in this case that you are so certain it doesn't include a safe and its contents to include guns or w/e is in the safe?

Tell customers to change the codes dumbass.

customers can't change a default master code bb

if a customer tells the safe manufacturer their code that's the same as writing it on the outside of the safe

either way, this is not a great look for a safe company LOL
