You know, for a guy puberty is embarassing and all, but your body doesn't really change much. You get physically larger and your genitals develop into their mature form. But everything you have is already there. Sure, you have to deal with spontaneous erections which can occur at the most inopportune moments, but that's nothing compared to....

puberty for girls. You don't just get larger, all of a sudden your chest starts growing out requiring special clothing to keep it in check. And then once a month, for no apparent reason, you bleed out of your crotch. That has to be quite traumatic the first time it happens. And I'm sure the staring from boys (and some men) can be a little unsettling. I can understand why a girl might be really reluctant to dress in anything other than baggy clothing and be uncomfortable in public. I could definitely see it as being a relief to be able to deny those things about yourself and regress to being pre-pubescent again.

If only it were just staring. I have a friend who had earlyish puberty. I remember being about 10, same age as her and some men driving past in a car who stopped and told her that she should get in, they had something else for her to ride.

This was not uncommon for her. At 10. She has said if she'd grown up now she'd've def gone the trans route to not have to deal with that despite not being trans.

Did she have proper parents?

I mean can you blame guys when you have a 10 year old who looks 16 making advances? You need proper parents who can teach her those things...

I think you're getting this the wrong way round. No advances made by her. Random creeps in the car telling her to ride their dicks. She was being harassed by men for riding her bike around playing with friends.

Her parents tried to deal with it when it happened and they could actually confront people about it but people mostly did it when she was alone/with friends.

Yeah, I might be reading the situation wrong then.
