It was something my sister said to me the other day. She said "I wouldn't have married you if I knew you were a pedophile."

The risk of genetic defects even from first cousin marriage is pretty low.

TL;DR - Yes, allowed in Alabama. But also allowed in California, New York, Vermont and Massachusetts.

Yes, actually a very interesting collection of states.

We have some of the most conservative bible thumping states (The SE corner of the country), and also the wokest states (The NE + California)

I don't know what to make of that 🤷🏼‍♂️
