TL;DR - Yes, allowed in Alabama. But also allowed in California, New York, Vermont and Massachusetts.

Yes, actually a very interesting collection of states.
We have some of the most conservative bible thumping states (The SE corner of the country), and also the wokest states (The NE + California)
I don't know what to make of that 🤷🏼♂️
