Looking it up, it seems like the monkey testicle research doctor was seeking immortality, not a cure to homosexuality, but thought a possible cure to homosexuality was just another thing that his amazing miracle cure might do. In short, he was a quack that wanted to live forever with the power of a third nut stolen from a monkey.
