I do not doubt that Levine is in fact an excellent physician, and in many regards, better than the overwhelming majority. However, with respect to the transgender topic, it should be plain to anyone that they are too close to it. They must recuse.

Consequent to that necessary recusal, and that the position serves at the behest of the congress, and that it must serve all roles, Levine is unsuitable.

Lupron, the puberty blocker most used in the US, is an advanced prostrate cancer drug used to chemically castrate sex offenders - there are already more than 10,000 complaints against Lupron filed at the FDA.

So IMO there is no way Levine can be an excellent medical provider and at the same time be an advocate for giving puberty blockers to kids starting puberty. A body and mind has to go through puberty to mature. Levine is warped.

Actually I heard that Levine is a child psychologist who specializes in eating disorders. Not an actual doctor.
