QUOTE: "By the 1980s, when organ transplants were performed around the world, medical researchers experimenting on animals discovered that when blood flow to the brain is reduced from the normal range to just 20-50 percent, the brain would “fall silent” — but was neither “dead” nor “irreversibly damaged.” By the end of the 1990s, this phenomenon — called “ischemic penumbra” — was demonstrated in humans, shattering the “brain death” myth.
The brain is silent but not dead, he said.
“Why is the ‘brain death’ theory still so prevalent, and what are students in medical school being taught about this?” LifeSite asked Dr. Coimbra.
The Brazilian neurologist explained that while medical students might hear about this if “information is provided to the general public,” they will not learn it in medical school.
“In medical schools, these concepts that I am telling you about — although they are published — are not available in medical textbooks."

I've never been, nor will ever be an organ donor; through the years, I've read too many horror stories of people waking up just before harvesting. I remember I think in Texas within the last 10 years, a man barricaded himself with his son in his hospital room, and held staff, and po-lice at bay via a firearm. Sounded crazy, but the guy's son woke up!
I donno, I know many think doctors, and the AMA are there to help. Sure, in some cases, but I think a great majority are working like anyone else would, they're just doing what is the bare minimum, and easiest thing to collect a paycheck. I only use medical for 2 reasons; blind diagnostics that I can use myself for holistic approaches to health, and also in an emergency; think bleeding out. Other than that, I won't, and don't go.
Also, I'm very careful on any official AMA form, as they're asking ever increasingly personal, none of their god damned business questions; like how many guns in the home???? Fuck them! lol
Remember, mainstream medicine has been around a little over a hundred years; while 'alternative' has been around 1000's, and is being validated more, and more.
there doesn't seem to be anything here
