How do they define "mass public shootings"?

Also, I'd like to see domestic violence statistics where a parent murders other family members, etc. Obviously, they would be considered targeted; and not public.

Regardless. I am a second amendment supporter. The founding fathers understood the nature of government tyranny.

I would assume little Norway's one big mass shooting includes the victims of the bomb as well but it's impossible to know since the sources it cites is '20 links in the sidebar' which are other blogs.

disclaimer, want to know the real statistics in the US? Every informed gun owner, that studies this stuff also would like to know. It's all highly skewed, and purposely misleading; it's an obvious attempt to drive up the fevered pitch screams of BAN'EM!!!

Even with that though, guns pale in comparison to other causes of death; just saying.

Guns is low on my list of fears.

Cops with guns, maybe.

I touched a police officers door. I never knew how safe place they are now, until then.

I not sure that I understand what you mean.

Did you touch their car door, and did they pull their sidearm on you?

Making a report at the closed sheriff's office, deputy was called to assist me. It was only 8 degrees out. Deputy sat in his Patrol SUV, with heat on. I placed one hand on the door, so as to lean a little closer to the warmth. Resulting in a tirade where by I thought I was going to get arrested. I just leaned back against my car, let him carry on for nearly 5 minutes of 'how stupid I was', and 'how unconcerned', and weird stuff. I thought to myself, the irony, I'm here for help, and perhaps I just stepped into harm's way. I did feel at one point, 'o'boy, where's this gonna go', but hey, wtf, just relax. I guess my resolution to relax, and let him ramble calmed him down, as by the end of the weird encounter, he was 'nice'.

He was a cowardly bully. Probably didn't want to do the paperwork to be a real asshole.

Fuck that guy.

Now that you mention it, he openly stated that since I had talked to another deputy originally, I should only talk to that deputy, and he didn't want to do the paperwork!!! LOL
