I don't think you can effectively anonymize DNA. I have always recommended nobody use these DNA analysis services.

There is only one reason for non medical DNA tests...to use the results against you. Especially health insurance providers.

I can imagine a host of horrible consequences. Prospective employers screening candidates. Police and government agencies assigning criminal potential like minority report style pre-crime. Credit bureaus. You can't pay back a debt if you're dead, etc. etc.

When police started solving crimes based on relatives of criminals submitting their DNA, I saw it was a really bad road. I mean catching murderers is great, but the trade-off for civil liberties is far from worth it.

Tax paying slaves don't need liberty. They only need to believe they have it.

My DNA is superior so this is fine.

For all the ridiculous forceful regulation governments do in the name of protecting the public, only purely murderous intent and evil corruption could cause politicians and DOJ to turn their head to this egregious abuse of the public, with permanent, lasting, damage and danger for multiple generations.

What's next is medical care that's tailored to the individual. A patient having their DNA profile attached to their record will help diagnosis and determining what prescription would be most effective for them. Doctor patient confidentiality will continue to protect this information as it does with other health information currently.

I hope so. DNA profiles would be easy to abuse.
