I found a paper funded by my tax dollars that seems awful scientificish, and it seems to have lots of statistics saying how abortion isn't so bad for women actually. There is a lot (a lotta lot) of weasel-wording before they mention some of the various health effects, but they did present stuff that made abortion sound better or worse for womens' health, including some significant effects depending on the outcome being examined.
Then they got to death which, as they noted, is a pretty important long-term health outcome. They hemmed and hawed and weasel-worded and said . . . . nothing. Despite reporting findings from a bunch of other awfully shady health studies, they refused. They just couldn't bring themselves to report on whether a woman getting an abortion was associated with an increased long-term risk of death! But they listed some studies, the results of which they declined to mention other than saying the research couldn't be depended on. I chased down that rabbit and found, to my lack of surprise:
Getting an abortion is a HUGE risk factor for dying early.
Results: Compared with women who delivered, those who aborted had a significantly higher age-adjusted risk of death from all causes (1.62), from suicide (2.54), and from accidents (1.82), as well as a higher relative risk of death from natural causes (1.44), including the acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) (2.18), circulatory diseases (2.87), and cerebrovascular disease (5.46). Results are stratified by age and time.
Conclusions: Higher death rates associated with abortion persist over time and across socioeconomic boundaries. This may be explained by self-destructive tendencies, depression, and other unhealthy behavior aggravated by the abortion experience.

Hmm. Women having a 254% increase in suicide can't be reported. 546% increase in deaths from brain vein problems? The science is just too shoddy!
Results: The age-adjusted mortality rate for women during pregnancy and within 1 year of pregnancy termination was 36.7 deaths per 100,000 pregnancies, which was significantly lower than the mortality rate among nonpregnant women, 57.0 per 100,000 person-years (relative risk [RR] 0.64, 95% CI 0.58-0.71). The mortality was lower after a birth (28.2/100,000) than after a spontaneous (51.9/100,000) or induced abortion (83.1/100,000). We observed a significant increase in the risk of death from cerebrovascular diseases after delivery among women aged 15 to 24 years (RR 4.08, 95% CI 1.58-10.55).

Once again, 408% increase in deaths from brain blood vessel troubles. No, we can't even mention this in our meta-review!
Results: The mortality rate for women during pregnancy and within 1 year of pregnancy termination from external causes was lower than mortality from external causes among non-pregnant women (relative risk 0.79; 95% confidence interval 0.69-0.91). Owing to elevated suicide and homicide rates, however, an increased risk was observed for women after abortions, especially in the age group of 15-24 years.
Conclusions: The low rate of deaths from external causes suggests the protective effect of childbirth, but the elevated risk after a terminated pregnancy needs to be recognized in the provision of health care and social services.

Girls fucking kill themselves more frequently after an abortion? Meh. Not worth a mention.
Conclusions and relevance: Parental death in childhood is, irrespective of cause, associated with an increased long-term risk of suicide.

Oh, and the children of the women who off themselves after having an abortion? Yeah they kill themselves a lot, too. But we can't show that real-world observational data to someone who is just looking to see how safe an abortion is, right? Best to just not mention.
Results: ...After adjusting for confounders, the childbirth group faced lower risks of suicide (adj. MRR 0.5, [95% CI 0.3–0.9]) and dying from injury and poisoning (adj. MRR 0.6, [95% CI 0.4–0.8]) compared with women who had undergone abortion.
Conclusions: ...Extra efforts should be made to ... provide psychosocial support to teenagers who undergo induced abortion.

Again, in a separate study in a separate country, we find a doubling of suicide rates amongst girls who murdered their unborn children. Oh well, let's just not even mention it!
The paper I was reading was this piece of propaganda masquerading in the guise of a meta review as a concensus report. It's a free download. I skipped the first 128 pages because I was only interested in the numbers. Good thing I did too because a blatant refusal to mention the risk of death gives it away! They won't even handwave these numbers away as unimportant . . . they refused to mention them at all, demonstrating the entire exercise is done in bad faith and the blahblah part is entirely worthless.

there doesn't seem to be anything here
